Dr. Pappas is presently in private practice and was the former program director of The Abington Stress Management Center and The Abington ADD Program. He is a Temple University graduate with a Masters and Doctorate in nutrition, and has worked for several pharmaceutical companies including Mallinkcrodt and Bristol Myers Squibb. His work in pharmacology includes infectious disease, migraine, oncology, allergy/asthma, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and digestive disorders. Dr. Pappas is trained in psychotherapy, and certified in biofeedback, neurofeedback, and personal fitness training (AFAA), providing service for conditions including ADD/ADHD, stress induced illness, fitness, and weight management. He is the former chief operating officer of Abington Behavioral Medicine Associates, a mental health clinic at Abington Memorial Hospital. He was recently certified as a Community Health Educator by the Rath Institute.
Dr. Pappas is the director of The Institute of Weight Management and Health, a training and research organization. As a fitness instructor, he has trained children, teenagers, and adults. He has worked with many local athletes including professional level sports figures.
For ten years, he hosted "The Mind Body Health Connection"on WNPV radio and “Health Matters” WNJC 1360 AM. He presently hosts his podcast and writes a health blog.
